For non-subscribers, these voice notes are dispatches from the Sagarmāthā/Everest region in the Himalayas, where I’m currently trekking with a group of eighteen women and five experienced guides. Not simply a summary of our days on the trail, these dispatches are meditations on human need, collaboration, politics and the joy and necessity of working together.
Today’s VN discusses the mental battle of ascending higher into uncompromising altitude, and what our group’s solidarity and collective support has prompted me to think about in relation to justice and liberation movements in the wake of the US election.
