Thank you Clementine. I so appreciate your accurate assessment and insight. My heart is breaking at what the Palestinians are experiencing. My misguided belief that we, “the west” is on the side of good has been well and truly shattered, irretrievably so. I’m embarrassed that I ever felt so. Thank you for continuing to use your voice in support of humanity and accountability. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

So important to keep calling for Albanese to do something, for all elected representatives to call for ceasefire. Seems fairly convenient that when the pressure is mounting on him he pops the question...

So will the govt’s anti-doxxing legislation include revealing a person’s name/ social media handle/ sharing their posts or screenshots of private group contents?

Or will it only refer to the revealing of home addresses and personal contact details? If the latter then activists can continue as they have been, yes? If the former then that is truly bizarre, extremely concerning and a guaranteed mess in courts of law.

According to comments from Mark Dreyfus, it might also include sharing publicly available information if the intention is found to be “malicious”. Which is all very tenuous. I would say sharing the contact details of an employer in a group of 600+ people constitutes malicious intent AND a big enough audience to count as semi public. But I’m guessing that’s not how Dreyfus intends for it to be applied.

I had the same question as Kazz - from following your work, Clem, I know your strategy of sharing the awful and vile abuse you receive is a powerful deterrent for some people. In fact, I think it was discussed in the leaked transcripts as being a reason to be wary of targeting you? Would this response to be criminalised? I feel like if someone sends you correspondence (especially unsolicited), you have the right to share it should you wish to… A lot of public figures do this?

Exactly. It is legislation that paves the way for abuse.

Thank you for writing so well, as usual. I am so angry and unimpressed by this war and our government all I usually have are swear words.

It seems there is no limit to the amount of children killed for our government, I don’t understand it al all, it’s horrific.
